Jeane Dixon's Quarterly Predictions

CHER AND GREGG ALLMAN face new problems.  The generation of young tv fans who have grown up along with Cher will worry about her this fall when her husband Gregg Allman suffers a serious illness.

Her concern for his health could keep his ailment from becoming critical, and she will set aside some other projects to concentrate on getting him well.

Unfortunately, this stress and anxiety will put a strain on her marriage.

Even though Cher will live like a princess, all her fabulous wealth will not be able to buy her peace of mind.  As time goes by, Gregg will not be able to compromise on certain things she considers essential.

One disagreement will concern her continuing performances with Sonny Bono.  Although that cooperation will be important for Cher's career, Gregg will resent it deeply.

Another disagreement will involve Gregg's friends and associates and the carryover of his lifestyle into their new marriage.

Eventually, Cher will give him a clear-cut choice: Between her and his controversial past.

Gregg wil always be devoted to the child which he and Cher have had together.  He will never be willing to part with it or to live apart from it, even if it means fighting legal battles to maintain his rights as father.

If both he and Cher take a good, long look at their present situation, they may successfully avoid future disputes that would bring suffering not only to them but also to their youngsters.

Cher's career will remain in a "holding pattern" for a while, neither declining nor soaring to greater heights.

It will take a few years for her to realize her full potential as the Dolores Del Rio of the Space Age; but, in time, she will make her mark as a serious actress.

For Gregg, the future is still uncertain.  It depends upon decisions he will make in the year ahead.
