WARNING TO GIRLS
Being an averge 14-year-old teenager, I'm interested in experimenting with makeup and clothes. I love the way Cher makes her eyes up, so I decided to try to do mine the same way. I got a big picture of her and followed the way she put on her eyeliner, etc. Then I put on false eyelashes, and that was my downfall. I thought I looked pretty good, and so did my boyfriend when he came to pick me up for a party. But in the middle of the evening, I was talking to him and drinking a glass of Coke and ... one of my eyelashes fell right in the glass! I was so embarassed I wanted to die, because everybody laughed at me. So, here's a warning to you girls that want to try false eyelashes: Make sure your glue sticks better than mine did! I've read that story over and over so many times, I just know it by heart! I think TiGER BEAT is a beautiful magazine, and everyone on the staff is marvelous. Please, please feature my favorite couple in every issue! I'm angry about the girl who wrote in about Sonny's "raccoon" vest. Sonny has the right to wear anything he wants! I'm too glad about TiGER BEAT to be mad at anyone, though. All I have to say is that his vest is not raccoon, it's bobcat fur. No one can ever top Sonny and Cher, because no one can ever top love! GROOVIEST COUPLE. . . BUT I think Sonny and Cher are the grooviest couple going. I love all their records. I have seen them on Shindig in the past, and also on Hullabaloo. But, one night when they were on Shindig all the gentlemen were wearing tuxedos. It was a very formal show. When Sonny and Cher came on, they had on their fur vests. They looked ridiculous! I thought they, for once, should have worn formal clothes! J.G. I had to agree that the boys of yesterday are so much more clean-cut than the ones of today. Take a look at George Charkiris, then at Sonny Bono. Now truthfully, who do you think is better looking? I like all the English groups' music, but while they are becoming millionaires, there are talented and good-looking start getting no where! I don't really think this is right, but it seems nobody can keep it from happening. Come on, teens, lets give the good-looking guys with talent a break! Just by looking at them, you can tell that they are in love and the world just consists of each other. The first time I saw them, I loved them. They're better than any other twosome in the world. I envy their love and hope that someday I will find someone who will look at me with the look that Sonny gives his wife. It's like they share the secret of happiness. BEST DRESSED I think Sonny Bono is the best dresed man around! And Cher, she knows what's best too. I love Cher because she represents the person who would be the ideal mother, and Sonny, the ideal father. I know if I had a chance, I'd trade my parents for somebody like Sonny and Cher! I'm going to try in every way possible to get to see Sonny and Cher in person, because I think maybe then I could talk to them and they'd give me sound advice. I love them for themselves. Every night I dream how it would be if Sonny and Cher started a family of their own. I think it would be wonderful, and their children would be the luckiest kids in the whole world! J.D.
